London’s best tattoo shops

Nikole Lowe at Good Times

I’ve been saying since I was 15 that I was going to get a tattoo. Taunted my mum with it. Tacked up pictures of lovely swirly tats all over my bedroom walls (OK, so it was just Brandon Boyd’s, whatever). So writing this feature on London’s best tattoo shops and tattooists, including Into You, Frith Street and Flamin’ Eight, was a real treat. It was body art PORN.

Maggie, the current fashion intern at Time Out has also kindly just updated it ahead of the sixth International London Tattoo Convention, which returns to its fabulous new venue, Tobacco Dock, from Sep 24-26 2010. I went last year and it was the perfect rock ’n’ roll exhibition space.

My favourite studio of the moment is the recently opened (last year) Good Times in Shoreditch’s Curtain Road. It has mainly female artists, including the uber talented Saira Hunjan, who has inked Kate Moss and Sadie Frost, and the most beautiful décor. Check out the Good Times girls’ multicultural shrine below.

Oh, and READ MY TIME OUT ARTICLE ON LONDON’S BEST TATTOO SHOPS HERE.
